John Drew Wedding Artistry

I want your wedding day photos to be one of the best aspects of your wedding day; fun, relaxed, and memorable...

About The Artist

John has worked in professional photography since his college days, living in New York City to learn his craft, then moving to his native Chicago to open his studio. In Chicago, he photographed many young actors who have gone on to work in TV and film, while shooting fashion for Lands' End, ads for Sears, and posters for Anheiser Busch.

He moved to Rochester, NY to work for Eastman Kodak where he worked as a portrait specialist, while making images for local colleges and universities, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and numerous businesses throughout the upstate NY region. At this time, he began to photograph weddings, and took seminars in posing and photojournalism to further hone his skills.

When digital imaging became affordable in the late 90's, John took the plunge, and has been fully digital for the last 7 years. In late 2006, John and his family moved to Boise, where he resides as he launches his wedding photography studio. His style can best be described as a blend of the classical portraits everyone must have, to the photojournalism and candids that everyone loves to have. Included is a desire to create some special artistic 'impressions'-special photographic moments of just you and your husband, to treasure forever. No matter what your wedding day plans, photographs by John Drew will surely add many special memories to treasure forever.
